anger at God?
The Freepers are having a discussion about an article in a psychology magazine about who gets "angry" at God.
Seems like non believers and weak believers get the most anger, but a lot of those commenting are almost as bad, seeing God as Santa Claus, and then grumbling that they learned it's up to them.
well, duh. God isn't going to pay your mortgage, especially since you chose to buy the house and maybe couldn't afford it in the first place.
And God isn't going to turn around a hurricane just so you aren't damaged, and if you don't prepare for damage, or buy a house that is strong enough to withstand the storm, why blame God?
On the other hand, anger is part of normal confrontation with disaster.
The article, however, doesn't distinguish from a normal emotional reaction to the choice of how you feel and cope.
