donald trump: The wounded beast who came back to life?

Cumbey has had several essays on her worry about Donald Trump. the latest is here

excerpt

As you know, I have my deep reservations about Donald Trump. He is a prominent entry in my large internet file titled "Antichrist theories."

But my worries are increasing speedily about Donald Trump and frankly, I don't care if many of you violently dispute me or not. I hope you are right and I am wrong -- but I am increasingly suspecting the opposite.

Trump's probable return to power has brought strongly to my mind lately the prophecy of "THE BEAST THAT WAS DEAD AND CAME BACK TO LIFE." That Beast's "deadly wound was healed" and "ALL THE WORLD WONDERED AFTER THE BEAST." (Revelation 3:3)

Since the start of 2024, Trump's boldness in proclaiming retribution for all those prosecuting him, RINO's, what he terms "fake press", "Never-Trumpers", etc. has increased. So has his open praise of other countries' dictators: Erdogan (Turkey), Xi (China), Putin (Russia), Hezbollah (Lebanese anti-Israel militia group), Viktor Orban (Hungary), etc.

PLEASE WATCH CAREFULLY THE VIDEO OF TRUMP'S RALLY SPEECH IN CONWAY, SOUTH CAROINA, YESTERDAY! You will see of what I just discussed in the preceding paragraph there. I managed to insert a copy here of the speech for those who can't follow the link.

Tonight, I was so bothered by the passage of "all theWorld wondered after the beast", I decided to do an internet search to see if anybody else had similar thoughts. I found the attached 2020 item from an "anonymous" poster expressing virtually identical thoughts and interpretations that have been playing over many times in my head lately. You can read it and you can even listen to it read -- it is about a 12 minute listen. It is called "The Resurrection of Donald Trump". The author chose to be anonymous, but 3 years later, it appears that it may well be happening.

That scriptural passage It has become increasingly apparent that the vast majority of Evangelicals and many conservative Catholics believe that Donald Trump, if re-elected --- indictments and all --will be their savior or deliverer. They believe and are told that the World Economic Forum,NATO, the United Nations, the Bilderbergers, etc. will soon take over the world, cost nations their individual soveereignty, etc., etc. This is the theme of a very professional film/video iny Amazon Prime library: "Trump is God's chosen instrument to stand between them and us." The movie is literally loaded with positive images of Donald Trump, including a his sculptured head on a bust.

Quoting from one voice (Tony Perkins) early in the production saying: "There clearly is a march towards globalization. We know there is a counterforce to everything that God does. It's called Satan. He's been planning and scheming from the very beginning and we read that he does it all the way to the end. So far, so true.

Next, the video accurately quotes Scripture from the Book of Revelation about the coming world dictator and that he will "surely be around the corner '. . . ;It's difficult to deny that we will be heading toward a global government." It tells us to look at the United Nations, the World Bank. Am I concerned about the World Economic Forum? Yes. Am I concerned about the "World Bank"? Yes. Am I concerned about other moves toward "globalization"? Yes! But, I am even more concerned about the deception Jesus warned us would be -- enough to deceive the Elect, if possible." (Matthew 24:24).

they protect their own

The pope makes nice with the press.

In a first-ever group meeting with Vatican-accredited reporters, on Jan. 22 Pope Francis praised them for avoiding "profane and political" molds in their work. "I would like to add the delicacy that you so often have in speaking of scandals in the Church: there are some and many times I have seen in you a great delicacy, a respect, an almost, I say, 'abashed' silence: thank you for this attitude," said the pope in a Vatican transcript. ... Damian Thompson of The Spectator tweeted: "Incredible! Pope Francis lets the cat out of the bag, thanking Vatican correspondents for their 'silence' and therefore helping him conceal the scandals of his pontificate. Take a bow, guys!"

the bias of alas too many reporters is to push the PC type trying to "reform" (some would say deform) Catholicism, which means you ignore some very important stories. That article was about a FOF (Friend of Francis) who abused a lady, but it's not the only story.

And to make things worse, no one wants to see links between stories that suggest manipulation of opinion by ignoring the backstory.

take the blessing of couples (not individuals) that are in sexual relationships outside of marriage (divorced remarried couples, polygamous relationships, couples living together outside of marriage, and gay couples who want their marriages approved).

This is about destroying that inconvenient commandment that opposes sex outside of marriage. But in today's world, it is the LGBTETC dogma that the Pope is pushing of course, because that is one of the goals (along with abortion on demand) by the elites behind the NWO.

Of course, this is not admitted outright, but in document that mixes good and bad so the weak can pretend it doesn't push blessing sin and maybe have to face mean tweets by the layfolk.

No, blessing of same sex couples is not merely blessing people and you can tell this because of how it is being reported in the press:   LINK

Dirty little secret: the Pope continues to destroy 2000 years of Catholic beliefs on many levels, not just in the sexual sphere but in the idea of the Eucharist as being Christ's body and blood and should not be taken by someone living in sin or by non believers, or the idea that thou shalt have no other gods before Me. (pachimama scandal comes to mind, not to mention allowing the Chinese communists to take over the church there).

Everyone knows this but they have to tapdance quietly around the truth.

which is why Pope and his minions continue to stonewall those who object, calling them narrow minded etc.

some bishops object, and this could cause problems if enough of them get a backbone and follow the Biblical rules, but most are keeping their heads down: and that, not a withdrawal of the document, is Francis' plan: Wait and gradually people will quiet down about it.

Not mentioned: they may just stop going to church or join other churches, because the religious version of Gresham's law is that bad theology pushes out believers, something we see in South America and in the Philippines where believers are flocking to evangelical churches that preach Jesus, not marxist revolutionary theory or global warming.

By firing Bishop Strickland, Francis shows that if you are a bishop who objects he will fire you.

But one of his enemies those dang lay people. And although we can be excommunicated, they can't fire us, and we can write nasty letters. (Catherine of Sienna comes to mind).

A big example is EWTN's reporting. After the Catholic bishops tried to take over the network, Mother Angelica put it under a lay board, with bishops advising then. But they are independent of the church structure.

Usually EWTN leans over backward to report nice things about Francis, but the Papal Posse have been quite open about the problems.

Mother is dead of course, but hey her inspiration (and prayers in heaven) are still causing problems for those who want to change the Catholic church into an NGO obedient to the global agenda.

American aren't aware of how the US, the European Union, and the UN threaten to remove aid money if poor countries don't  legalize abortion and homosexuality while insisting that condoms and birth control and the idea of sexual freedom be taught in schools...

And of course these big shots all seem to know each other and help each other when their corruption is noticed. And one way they do it is by changing the subject.

The latest? Francis had Bishop Welby, head of the Anglican church, holding a service in a catholic cathedral in Rome.. Welby of course is being criticized for tip toeing up to blessing gay marriages in that church, in a way that resembles Francis' so called blessing: gaslighting at it's best.

But that's not the only scandal that he is facing right now":  there is a miniseries on the tellie right now, about the Post Office Scandal. And the one being blamed for refusing to investigate the problem just happens to be one of his proteges: an Anglican priestess who he wanted to make Bishop of London.

I posted earlier about the British Post Office scandal in the early 2000s where 800+ people were accused and 200+ jailed for stealing money from the Post offices, and in hindsight it turned out to be a computer software error.

Well, although the scandal started before her time in office, the reason it continued for so many years was because the as head of the postal union, she refused to look into the problem of possible false accusations. Welby wanted to appoint her as Bishop of London in 2017, which was the same year that Alan Bates took the case to the British court system.

UKTelegraph covers the story where the ex chaplain to the late queen says hey maybe Welby should resign, because this shows bad judgement.

British cronyism at it's worst,

She was still chief executive of the Post Office at the time, eventually standing down in 2019 - the same year she was awarded a CBE for services to the Post Office and to charity.

BBC article 2021 even has her pretending she is the victim when the actual bishop who she works for finally decided to give her the boot:

In a statement issued on Sunday evening, Ms Vennells, an associate Anglican minister in Bromham, Oakley and Stagsden, Bedfordshire, said she would be stepping back from her "regular parochial duties".
Ms Vennells said: "It is obvious that my involvement with the Post Office has become a distraction from the good work undertaken in the Diocese of St Albans and in the parishes I serve.

notice: no apologies. No admission of guilt, or even an admission that she might have been incompetent at her job. And no insight that maybe the parishes she served might have people who had friends or relatives whose lives were destroyed by her actions, and they might object to her being their priest.

Sounds like how a lot of popular priests bishops and Cardinals were protected for years by their cronies (Cardinal Law and McCarrick come to mind), and only met a slap on the wrist for their deeds years after every lay person knew what was going on.

better late than never I guess.

but the BBC analyst notes:

For the sub-postmasters and postmistresses who faced prison, criminal convictions and financial ruin after being wrongly pursued by the Post Office, one of the hardest elements has been confronting a faceless institution. But the name that has been repeated to me again and again by victims I've spoken to is that of Paula Vennells. Although the computer problems began before her tenure as chief executive, under her leadership, the glitches within the system became widely reported on. But she insisted the system was "robust", defending the technology and her organisation's actions to a committee of MPs.

italics mine.

All of this brings to mind several questions: who do you believe: the computer or your lying eyes?

the belief that computer systems are flawless

Although the computer problems began before her tenure as chief executive, under her leadership, the glitches within the system became widely reported on. But she insisted the system was "robust", defending the technology and her organization's actions to a committee of MPs. As chief executive, she chose to fight lengthy and expensive legal battles against sub-postmasters seeking redress...But the Post Office "consistently asserted that Horizon was robust and reliable" and "effectively steamrolled over any sub-postmaster who sought to challenge its accuracy".

Computers are flawless. Such statements are a statement of faith not a statement of face, since not only does the GIGO affect the computer's decision (garbage in/garbage out), but if the parameters are wrong, or the code has errors, or if someone hacks the computer, the results might not be accurate.

So don't allow those people with flawless reputations who are now accused of bilking thousands of pounds from the Post Office to defend themselves. Got it.

So don't question the computer simulations that are behind the global warming religion. Got it.

and don't question those vote irregularities in the 2020 US election, where the courts decided not to examine the evidence of problems, and the media gleefully wrote stories as if they did an investigation and found no problem.

italics mine. This last part has led to libel cases and RICO cases, often by politicized courts who refused to admit the actual evidence. And the press outside of the right wing sites pretend this is a settled matter. No one else had problems with voting machines so why bother to investigate?

whoops. Turns out the machines are easy to hack. Who wudda thot?

even in the Philippines, we discarded our Smartmatic vote counters because of problems. link2.

Sigh.
