Charles Kirk RIP: Spiritual tsunami?
Well, this is only one of several high profile attacks in the last ten years on political figures. Sigh.,
But anyway, I only follow a few podcasts, and didn't really know who the guy was, although I did see a few of his interviews on podcasts that I sometimes listen to (i.e. Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson).
but looking around the web, I was astounded because a lot of people were crying about his death.
not because of his politics per se, but because they knew him andoften had their lives impacted by him.,
So I looked into some of what was being said, and again it was not the usualy trite sympathy sentences, but sad and often tearful statements on how he affected their lives. And nearly all of these seemed to be by young men.
Instapundit has a lot of links about him, but other blogs where I get my news were joining in the open mourning.
Ironically, there are a lot of "I am glad he is dead ha ha" stuff from the left, often teachers or in other woke professions, many of whom were young ladies.
Again, WTF?
The overkill and rejoicing of the left is disgusting of course, but it is so far over the top that it seems like it might be diabolical influence.
I mean you might see things like this about an enemy of your in war, but here it was supposedly for his haterful comments. Except his comments were not hateful: Just polite. In other words, they are rejoicing abou the death of a nice guy who the leaders on th eleft have made into a monster by manipulating and lying about what he said. So do they hate the man himself (which would be diabolical) or jsut the fake strawman of the cult of the woke?
and in the second and third day, this has continued, and even morphed into a Christian revival and people that usually were secular in their writings talking about the need for spiritual warfare.
here is an example from the satire tweeter Catturd.
The movement is now 100 times bigger. The demons have failed. https://t.co/ypcBvtDwbY

,,,,
but like previous revivals e.g. after911, I am sure the opposition will push lies to destroy this. How long until a fake lady claims sexual harassment or worse, similar to how Clarance Thomas and Kavanaugh were accused.
at the same time, I am going through a spiritual heartburn... severe dryness. I have been unable to sit through the mass because of muscular weakness and heat exhaustion like symptoms.
since I had dengue, I got my weakness back but in the last three months of hot season it got worse: not SOB or pain but just fatigue
so I asked Joy to ask the church if they could bring me communion which is done by the Catholic church for the homebound. But Joy or the secretary got the message wrong so when Father finally came, it was at supper time.
well, I was outside with the dogs who were in my room when I was napping so I went outside to let them do their thing, and to enjoy the sunset.
And the cook came in. Because she didn't know why Father was there she didn't welcome him in. I locked the dogs in the dining room, but by the time I hobbled to where Father was, Kuya went inside to find me, and the dogs all ran out, ran past us at the door, and started chasing the neighboring dogs.
Now, the day before and earlier that day, I was literally unable to pray, either my regular prayers or my talking with the Lord or reading and thinking and when I went to the door, I was still a bit confused from my recent nap...
So when Father looked me over I explained I didn't want to be anointed but just permission to receive commonion (and go to confession), at which point the discussion deteriorated because Father saw a fat lady chasing the dogs with her cane and then saying she was too weak to attend mass, so he started telling me about all the different masses I could attend. Well, finally he said he would send the person on Sunday with communion and left, and I was left without confessing or receiving the sacrament or anointing.
Diabolic oppresion? Confusion from my anti allergy medicines? Symptoms of depression? I went through some of this when I was writing pro life stuff years ago, so maybe.
well anyway, this morning with all the Kirk assasination coverage, I have been recovering the ability to pray, and by the time the Eucharistic minister came with the sacrament, I could receive it and pray for awhile after he left: I felt the touch of grace in this.
